DIRECTOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Being a Chapter Director can be an amazing experience. Our job is to make sure you are given the resources and the assistance to start and maintain your own chapter.
If you are thinking of becoming a Chapter Director, here are a list of responsibilities for you to review.
CREATE A FUN EXPERIENCE
You want to keep your members happy and engaged, right? That's why it's important to incorporate fun elements into your chapter events and meetings. Try to listen to everyone's ideas and make sure they are heard, no matter how feasible they are.
FOLLOW RULES
We understand: rules can be a pain; but they can also help guide you in your path. The better you understand the chapter rules, the less you will have to deal with issues later on. We promise.
VOLUNTEER PROJECT

First, we'll help you find an environmental nonprofit in your area to volunteer at. This can be anything, from greenhouses to river cleanups. Your chapter will volunteer there once a month for the rest of the year.

PARTICIPATE IN MEETINGS
Monthly meetings will be held online with state directors. You will discuss future plans and voice any concerns or issues you are having in your chapter. This will allow us to assist you and make sure you are on track to maintaining an operational chapter!
ATTEND CONFERENCES
Online conferences will be held a couple times a year. This is a great way to get to know fellow chapter members and work together on a project. You can team up to host a friendly chapter competition, lobby a state issue, or organize a joint fundraiser.
AWARENESS CAMPAIGN
Letting community members know about the facts of climate change and the environment is very important to our mission. We'll provide you with the flyers and marketing materials; you'll just figure out how to post them around your school and community!
ORGANIZE EVENTS
We encourage you to organize your own events. This will help improve your chapter's reach within your community. We'll help you organize your event if necessary, but it's up to you how you want to fund it.
