The livestock industry has made one of the largest impacts on man-made greenhouse gas levels and has no end in sight.
Cows are surprisingly one of the largest sources of greenhouse gases. The effect of greenhouse gases makes it so that greenhouse gases and climate change are intimately related. The Ecolibrium Project has valuable information on the effect of cattle on greenhouse gas levels.
